Everything in one place, not 12 tabs.
Estimated, total, committed. One single truth, updated in real time.
Before ÆTHERNA, my budget lived in four places: a Google Sheet, the bank app, a Notion shared with my wife, and my head. A line item could get validated twice. A deposit forgotten for three months.
Wedding budgeting is when you start wondering whether the caterer's quote really covers the evening service. Or whether you actually planned for the sugar almonds.
Four views of the same number.
One headline number
'€12,400 paid out of €28,000 total', at the top of the page, in big type. The estimate sits right next to it, as a metric. One glance to know where you stand.
Gauge and legends
A thin gauge under the number: what's been paid, what's left. In the legend, the percentage paid, the amount remaining — and, if there are any, how many payments are overdue and what they add up to.
Vendor by vendor
Caterer, venue, photographer, flowers, stationery, entertainment. Each vendor has its card, its gauge and its balance due. The 'Spend by category' block groups them, and the settled ones drop to the bottom.
Detail on demand
Click a vendor, the sheet opens: the payment schedule line by line — amount, payment date, paid or not —, the quote reference, the vendor's contact details. Everything that matters, visible when you ask for it.
Three line items, one gauge, zero surprise when the balance is due.
